PART ELEVEN: PRACTICAL WAYS TO APPLY THE CONCEPT OF THE PLUMB LINE IN MODERN LIFE.

After asking ChatGPT about this topic, the AI came up with some very practical ways to apply the plumb-line process in your life.

I have adjusted some points to a more balanced life. Always remember, if it does not lead you to Christ, it’s false.

Christ-centeredness: Always adjust your ways, your speech, your perspectives as you learn more about Christ. Make sure you understand God’s doctrine, commandments and attributes and adjust accordingly. Become more aware of your enemies and God’s enemies and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to all truth.

Here, it’s important to keep Acts 2:42 as your focal point. The goal is to be God-centred and not devil minded. Don’t only focus on one thing, like prayer or worship. The Manna must come first.

For a balanced growth, Word, fellowship, breaking of Bread and prayer should be applied daily into your Christian Walk. We must walk, talk and hear the same thing.

Make sure you are correctly aligned and that the set man has the resources to help you grow.

Setting Personal Goals: Use the plumb line metaphor to set clear, measurable goals for yourself. Just as a plumb line provides a straight path, having specific goals can guide your actions and keep you focused.

Ethical Decision-Making: When faced with difficult decisions, consider what aligns with your core values and principles. Ask yourself if your choices are “true to plumb” with your ethical standards.

Building Strong Relationships: Apply the concept by fostering trust and honesty in your relationships. Ensure that your interactions are based on mutual respect and integrity, creating a solid foundation for lasting connections.

Community Involvement: Advocate for justice and fairness in your community. Whether through volunteering, activism, or simply standing up for what’s right, you can help build a more equitable society.

Professional Integrity: In your career, maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics. This might mean being transparent in your dealings, taking responsibility for your actions, and striving for excellence in your work.

Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess your progress and adjust as needed. Just as a builder checks the plumb line to ensure the structure remains true, periodically evaluate your actions and make sure they align with God’s values.

Mindfulness and Reflection: Incorporate regular self-reflection into your routine. Ask yourself if there are any blind spots you are missing or ask your set man / spiritual father to show you. Take time to meditate or journal about your actions and decisions, ensuring they are in line with God’s “plumb line.”

By integrating these practices into your daily life, you can ensure that your actions and decisions are aligned with God’s values, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling life. And bringing you closer to God’s goal.

1 Kings 6: 11-14

11 The word of the LORD came to Solomon:

12 “As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, observe my laws and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father. 13 And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel.”

14 So Solomon built the temple and completed it. Normally we must get an architect to draw up a plan when we want to build a house.

Once you become a born-again believer, a plan for your spiritual house is already waiting for you.

Jer 1: 5-10

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

6 “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

7 But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD.

9 Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.

10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

God will guide you to fulfil this plan in your life. Trust Him.

Matthew 7:24

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”

God has given it to us from the formation of the earth, but it is up to us to use it in our lives.

We must first find the Rock and build upon that rock. Once you have accepted the invitation to be His child, the building begins. The goal is to become a mature son in the house of God.

Take note: Today, when you hear the voice of God, strap yourself in because it can become very messy. This is a place where we learn to listen, talk, crawl, and walk until we come to the stature of Christ.

We do the words of God. Do implicates an action from our side. We get to know God and the fulness of Christ through the Holy Spirit and what He says; you do.

Grace and peace to you.
